Family Captures Evidence Of What McDonald’s Adds To Their Sandwiches With A Camera

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has accused a McDonald’s location of deliberately including bacon in a meal ordered by a Muslim family.
While visiting from New York, the family placed an order for 14 sandwiches at a McDonald’s in Decatur, according to AL.com.
During their meal, they discovered bacon, which is prohibited in Islam.
Khaula Hadeed, the head of CAIR’s Alabama chapter, stated, “They noticed a different taste. They frequently order McChicken sandwiches and knew exactly what they had requested.”
Hadeed characterized the incident as a direct attack on the family.
“It doesn’t seem like a mistake, especially with 14 sandwiches involved,” she asserted, labeling the event as “an intentional act of religious and ethnic intolerance.”
Hadeed is calling for an investigation, noting that one of the adults felt unwell afterward.
“They are understandably disturbed by this,” she commented.
She believes McDonald’s should look into the matter, take action against the staff involved, and start with an apology to address the family’s concerns.
The incident sparked significant discussion on social media.
Some users expressed support for the family and believed the claims.
“I’ve seen individuals with strong beliefs act poorly toward those who are different,” one commenter noted. “I can believe someone might have deliberately included bacon in their sandwiches to offend them. That’s un-American in my view.”
Another added, “Decatur has its share of extreme right-wing individuals who lack tolerance for those outside their beliefs.”
Conversely, some commenters were skeptical and less sympathetic.
“This seems like a scam,” wrote one individual, suggesting that the family might have sought attention or financial gain. “They likely chose an Alabama McDonald’s for the publicity it could generate.”
Another commenter remarked, “I doubt any McDonald’s employee would act with such intent. Most workers aren’t focused on who their customers are.”
