Woman Fakes Illness to Skip Work, Ends Up on the Same Flight as Her Boss

When you go to work every day and it starts to feel monotonous, sometimes all you need is a break. While vacations are one option, occasionally, people take a day off by calling in sick.

Most companies assume you’re genuinely ill when you take a sick day, but sometimes it’s just a desire for a break. That’s what happened in a viral story, but things didn’t go as planned for her.

Instead of simply resting at home, she used her sick day to take a spontaneous trip to Bali, Indonesia.

She needed to return to Indonesia for a medical appointment and wasn’t feeling well. Not wanting to share the full details, her colleagues assumed she couldn’t work.

However, as she boarded her flight and settled into her seat, she glanced at her phone and saw a surprising photo—her boss, who had snapped a picture of her, was on the same flight!

She later posted about the incident on TikTok, where the video quickly gained over a million views.

People flooded the comment section with both awkward reactions and personal stories.

When asked about the situation, she explained, “I was in line when I heard someone call my name. It turned out to be my boss.”

He humorously asked, “So, is this your hospital?”

In the end, they laughed together and chatted all the way onto the plane, with her boss even taking a photo and sending it to her.
