Jimmy Carter Celebrates His 100th Birthday With A Military Flyover In His Honor

Former President Jimmy Carter recently achieved a milestone that no other U.S. president has reached: he celebrated his 100th birthday! To mark this occasion, a concert was held in his honor at the Fox Theater in Atlanta, just ten days before his actual birthday on October 1.

Though Carter was unable to attend the event due to receiving hospice care for the past 19 months, his friends and family organized a special celebration in his hometown of Plains, Georgia. Recently, he was brought out of hospice to enjoy time with loved ones, including a military flyover in his honor.

“Not everyone gets to celebrate 100 years on this planet,” said Jason Carter, the former president’s grandson. “When someone uses that time to do so much good for others, it’s truly worth celebrating.”

Surrounded by friends and family, Carter had a memorable day. His Secret Service team, some of whom have protected him for nearly fifty years, were also present, highlighting the countless lives he has influenced throughout his life.

“Carter is one of the most decent people to have served as president,” commented one viewer of the video. “Regardless of political views, he exemplified class and humility. Happy birthday!”
