Man Requests To Be Interred With His Wealth, And His Wife’s Reaction Follows

Before he passed away, a man told his wife he had one final wish: to be buried with all of his money. He insisted that he wanted to take his wealth with him to the afterlife. His wife agreed to honor this wish and devised a clever plan.

When the man eventually died, at his funeral, just before the casket was closed, his wife asked for a moment to place one last item inside. She carefully set a shoebox into the casket, and the undertakers proceeded with their duties.

Afterward, a friend of the widow remarked, “I hope you didn’t actually put all that money in the casket with him.”

The widow replied, “I promised him I would, and I always keep my promises. I’m a woman of my word.”

“Are you saying you put every penny of his money in there with him?” the friend asked in disbelief.

“Absolutely,” the widow confirmed. “I gathered all the money, deposited it into my account, and then wrote him a check.”
