Straight, Married Father Of Three Shares That He Has Been Wearing Skirts And Heels To Work for Several Years
Note: This article is a re-release of a story originally published in October 2020.
Mark Brayan, a 61-year-old father and husband, has been breaking gender stereotypes by incorporating skirts and high heels into his wardrobe for the past four years.
Living in Germany and working as a robotics engineering manager, Mark has captured the attention of social media, amassing over 73,000 followers with his distinctive work attire. He aims to demonstrate that cisgender, heterosexual men can embrace traditionally feminine clothing while maintaining a “masculine” identity.
On his Instagram, Mark shared: “I’m a straight, happily married man with a passion for Porsches and beautiful women, and I enjoy adding high heels and skirts to my everyday outfits.”
He emphasizes that his fashion choices are not a reflection of his sexuality but rather a means of expressing comfort and style while challenging conventional gender norms.
In an interview with Metro.co.uk, Mark explained: “My motivation for wearing skirts comes from a love of fashion, comfort, and a desire to stand out. I’m still a devoted husband and father, and my daughter even likes to borrow my shoes.”
Mark noted that his colleagues were receptive to his fashion choices, having already seen him wearing heels with pants before he started donning skirts.
Throughout the pandemic, Mark has continued working from home but has maintained his unique style, proving that he can be both fashionable and comfortable.
