How To Cook Corn Without Boiling – Try This Method Instead!
We love enjoying corn on the cob during its peak season, but we’re not fans of boiling it since it often lacks the best flavor. However, we discovered an easier and more flavorful method: cooking it in a slow cooker!
By adding corn and a bit of water to the slow cooker, the corn steams perfectly while retaining its sweet taste. After cooking, you can enhance it with butter, salt, pepper, and any other seasonings you like.
Ingredients:
8-10 ears of corn
1/3 cup water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Unsalted butter, to taste
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
Fresh herbs or green onion, to taste
Instructions:
Place the corn in the slow cooker and add 1/3 cup of water.
Set the cooker to HIGH and cook for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or until the corn is bright yellow and tender.
Remove the corn with tongs, then season with salt, pepper, butter, lemon juice, and fresh herbs as desired.
Serve hot and enjoy!
