A well-known celebrity passed away earlier today in a tragic car accident

A promising NFL prospect who tragically passed away in a car accident on Saturday had shared a poignant final post just hours before his death.

Authorities report that a high-speed collision claimed the lives of 24-year-old Khyree Jackson and two friends. Jackson had recently been drafted by the Minnesota Vikings.

Early Saturday, police confirmed that Jackson, a cornerback, and Hazel, the driver and Jackson’s high school teammate, were declared dead at the scene. Another passenger, Anthony Lytton Jr., also a teammate, was taken to the hospital but later pronounced dead.

Jackson’s last Instagram post from Friday featured a series of ten images from his life, including moments from his time at Vikings practice, accompanied by the simple caption “Mmmhmmm.”

The post also included cheerful photos of Jackson on a beach with parrots, showing off his physique with a lizard, and displaying his fashion sense in mirror selfies.

One image contrasted “dreamers” with “doers,” highlighting a “doer” surfing a large wave, reflecting Jackson’s proactive and determined spirit.

According to TMZ, Jackson began his college career at Fort Scott Community College before moving on to play for the Oregon Ducks and Alabama Crimson Tide. Oregon Live noted that his standout season in 2023 established him as a top cornerback for the Ducks. He was selected by the Vikings in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

In response to Jackson’s passing, the Minnesota Vikings issued a heartfelt statement: “We are deeply saddened by the news of Khyree Jackson’s death following an overnight car accident. The Vikings organization has reached out to Khyree’s family to offer support as we investigate the incident further. We have also informed our players, coaches, and staff, providing counseling for those in need. Our condolences extend to Khyree’s family, friends, teammates, and all affected by this tragic event.”

Jackson was remembered for his vibrant energy and positive influence on his teammates. “Khyree’s presence was truly uplifting, and his enthusiasm was felt throughout the team,” said Coach O’Connell. “His confidence and personality made him instantly likable, and he was on track to become a remarkable football player. His dedication to his family and personal growth was equally impressive.”

The accident occurred around 3 a.m. Saturday when Jackson was in a Dodge Charger with two former teammates. An Infiniti, traveling at high speed, collided with the Charger, causing it to veer off the road and hit several tree stumps. The Infiniti also impacted a Chevrolet Impala, driven by Cori Clingman, whose occupants were unharmed, along with the Infiniti’s driver.

No charges have been filed as the investigation continues.
