Walmart Pulls Controversial Shirt With Hidden Insult Following Customer Complaints

A t-shirt that was recently available at a local Walmart has gained significant attention after customers noticed an unintended issue with its design. A Twitter user shared a photo of the green t-shirt, which was meant to promote recycling. The shirt displayed the word “RE” prominently, with the words “cycle,” “use,” “new,” and “think” arranged around it. However, it was discovered that the design accidentally formed an inappropriate word. A Walmart spokesperson told Newsweek, “This was an unintentional mistake, and the t-shirt has been removed. For context, this item was only sold in Canada.”

This particular t-shirt, priced at $5, was part of the George fashion label, which has been a part of Walmart’s offerings since 1999. Although the brand is popular in the UK, where it is sold at ASDA stores, it is less common in North America. The tweet that highlighted the issue has garnered over 1.3 million views and nearly 14,000 likes. Many Twitter users have engaged with the post, with some expressing curiosity or amusement. One user commented, “I need this shirt before Walmart realizes what’s happened. Find the hidden word,” while others have reacted with surprise or confusion.
