Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has indicated that it seems all the people on board may have perished. Voepass has released a statement noting that details about the cause of the crash and the status of those on board are not yet confirmed.

Videos of the incident have been circulating online, with footage from Brazilian network GloboNews showing a fire and dark smoke at the crash site. Social media has also seen clips of the aircraft in descent.

The São Paulo fire brigade has confirmed the crash occurred in Vinhedo, a residential area with a population of over 80,000. Emergency services are responding, but it is unclear if there have been any additional injuries in the area.
