Devastating Plane Accident Results In The Loss Of Cherished Gospel Music Group Members

On July 26, a tragic plane crash resulted in the loss of three members of The Nelsons, a well-loved southern gospel group from Atlanta, Georgia. The accident occurred in Wyoming around 3 PM PST as the band, alongside four others, was traveling to the Gaither Homecoming Cruise in Alaska.

Devastating Crash

The Nelsons, celebrated for their inspiring music and moving performances, had a global following. Their memorable songs, such as “Come Morning,” “O For a Thousand Tongues,” and “Greater Things,” have resonated with many fans.

The crash claimed the lives of Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, Amber and Nathan Kistler, their assistant Melodi Hodges, and the pilot Larry Haynie along with his wife Melissa. Our hearts go out to their families during this time of mourning.

The Nelsons’ management has united with Bill and Gloria Gaither and other artists to provide support to the grieving families through prayers, songs, and consolation. Autumn Nelon and her spouse, who were not on the plane, are returning home to be with their family.
