The Search For The Missing Mother Concludes After Her 8-Year-Old Son Confides In A School Counselor

Judson Keith Hoover, aged 50, admitted to killing his wife, 38-year-old Rebecca Ruth Hoover, shortly after being charged with her murder.
Rebecca was last seen on August 2nd, and Judson filed for divorce the following day. Authorities believe she was already deceased by that time.
The case unfolded after the couple’s eight-year-old son confided in a school counselor that he had witnessed his father killing his mother.
Reports indicate Judson pleaded guilty to spare his son from testifying in court.
New Albany Police Chief Told Bailey explained that Rebecca’s mother reported her missing on August 4th. When officers visited her residence on St. Joseph Road, they found no trace of Rebecca.
Bailey explained: “By August 27, our criminal investigators received information suggesting Ms. Hoover’s disappearance could involve criminal activity. Acting swiftly, our team intensified efforts, dedicating numerous hours to uncovering the details of this case.”
Reports indicate that a forensic interview was conducted with a family member whose identity remains undisclosed, and search warrants were executed at the residence of the couple.
Rebecca’s remains were found, and Judson was apprehended on suspicion of murder the same day.
Subsequently, formal charges were filed, and he pleaded guilty on that very day.
A few miles away from the family’s residence, surveillance footage from a storage facility captured Judson moving what appeared to be a body on August 4, shortly after police had visited his home regarding a missing person report.
Later on August 28, he was filmed returning to the storage unit driving a rented Dodge Caravan, just a day after being questioned by the police. He was observed carrying a 55-gallon container into the van.
He confessed to relocating the container containing his wife’s body to another storage unit on Strawberry Lane in Louisville. Rebecca’s body was subsequently found at that location.
